A few of the top names in AEW are coming to Japan for NJPW Power Struggle 2026.
Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, and Wheeler Yuta are all confirmed for the Power Struggle event, which is being held on November 3 in Hiroshima. The show is airing live on NJPW World with English commentary and will help set the stage for Wrestle Kingdom 21.
As was set up at King of Pro Wrestling, the Power Struggle main event will be Omega vs. Yota Tsuji vs. Oleg Boltin in a non-title three-way match. A victory would earn Omega an IWGP Heavyweight Championship shot against Tsuji, most likely on January 4 at Wrestle Kingdom.
Ospreay, amid serious dissension between himself and Callum Newman, will team up with Newman to challenge The Knockout Brothers (Yuto-Ice & OSKAR) for the IWGP Tag Team titles at Power Struggle. If they are unable to claim the belts, a singles match against each other is almost certainly in Ospreay and Newman’s future.
Another tag bout will see the Death Riders (Moxley & Yuta) face off against Shingo Takagi & Jeff Cobb, with the bout being made after Takagi issued multiple challenges to Moxley.
Plus, Death Riders member Gabe Kidd is putting his IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship on the line against Taichi.
The full Power Struggle card will be announced in the coming weeks, with these just the first few matches confirmed.
