Drew McIntyre opened up about his priorities amid his ongoing WWE absence while pursuing opportunities in Hollywood.
McIntyre told Fox News that he has continued to maintain his in-ring shape during his WWE absence, insisting that he remains ready to return whenever needed. However, despite staying prepared for a potential comeback, McIntyre revealed that his current priority is pursuing opportunities in Hollywood.
“I’m as big as I’ve ever been. I’m 285, right? And I’m 10 pounds bigger than I was for ‘Agent of Shadows.’ I’m in the best shape of my life. I posted myself running the ropes the other day, keeping myself in ring shape. I’m always ready to go. I think it got like over 8 million views, just bouncing off the ropes a few times, across my social media platforms. But right now, I’m focused on Hollywood Drew. So, we’ll see. We will see.”
McIntyre’s last WWE match was against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania in an unsanctioned match.
The Scottish Warrior has spent much of the year filming the Highlander reboot and The Last Druid. He is also featured in WWE and ReelShort’s action-drama Agent of Shadows set to premiere on October 23. The first of its kind collaborative WWE project also stars Booker T, Joe Hendry, Nikkita Lyons, Michael Hayes and Fatu.
