Damian Priest made the call to end his match against R-Truth early after Truth was injured during Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

Truth appeared to be injured after attempting a dropkick from the top rope. Video footage circulating online shows Priest communicating with the referee following the incident.

On Monday, our own Bryan Alvarez wrote to his subscribers on X:

As you can see from the videos floating around, Damian Priest made the call to take the Truth match home the moment he realized Truth was hurt. Did a hell of a job staying in character.

Alvarez also reported on Sunday that Truth appears to be okay following the incident.

Also on Monday, Truth posted an image of himself appearing to go into an MRI machine, along with the following caption:
