Shayna Baszler is officially under contract with TNA Wrestling after debuting for the company at Bound for Glory.

The October 11 pay-per-view saw former WWE wrestlers Baszler & Zoey Serrano (Zoey Stark) defeat Allie & Kiera Hogan to become the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions. TNA then sent out an announcement today confirming that the promotion has signed Baszler to a contract:

• TNA Wrestling has signed Shayna Baszler, as first reported by Instinct Culture’s Denise Salcedo.
• The multi-time champion in singles and tag team wrestling, Baszler is already a champion in TNA, as half of the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship with Zoey Serrano as The Apex – they won the titles at Bound For Glory on October 11, in Baszler’s TNA debut. Baszler made her pro wrestling debut in 2015 and also has had a long run in the MMA world, where she has 15 wins, with 13 by submission.

Before joining TNA, Baszler, Serrano, and TNA on-screen authority figure Daria Rae (Sonya Deville) were already allies from their time in WWE. Baszler & Serrano’s tag team has been given the name “Apex” in TNA.

Shayna Baszler thinking about her legacy —

Baszler told Denise Salcedo that, while she doesn’t feel like her career is anywhere close to the end, she has been thinking about her legacy more often lately. With a background in MMA before bringing that style into her pro wrestling career, Baszler wants her legitimacy to be what people remember.

“Everything about me is real,” the 46-year-old Baszler said. “Everything I do is just what I am. And if I can bring reality and realism, if I can be in the discussion and make TNA be one of the first organizations to be brought up when people go, ‘Yeah, but who’s the most legitimate locker room?’ If because I’m there, if I can bring that into the discussion, then that’s the legacy I want to leave.”

Baszler was released by WWE in May 2025 but has maintained a good relationship with the company, including spending some time helping out backstage in NXT.

In addition to signing Baszler, TNA has also added Shotzi Blackheart and Amazing Red to its roster, along with re-signing Director of Authority Santino Marella.
