Komander’s recent disappearance from AEW and ROH television finally has an explanation. The luchador has been dealing with an injury, though the good news is that his absence apparently isn’t expected to last much longer.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Komander hasn’t been around in recent weeks because he is injured. Meltzer didn’t provide any details about the nature or severity of the injury, but noted that the hope is Komander will be able to return soon.

Komander hasn’t wrestled since September 20, when he teamed with Bandido against Mascara Dorada and Soberano Jr. for CMLL. That match came at the end of a busy stretch in Mexico that also included Komander challenging Titan for the CMLL World Welterweight Championship on September 18.

His last ROH match came earlier that month, when Komander and Bandido defeated AR Fox and Soleil on the September 8 edition of ROH on HonorClub. His most recent AEW television match was against Nick Wayne on the September 2 edition of Collision.

There’s no word yet on exactly when Komander will be cleared or whether AEW already has plans for him once he’s ready. For now, the encouraging part is that the expectation appears to be a return sooner rather than an extended absence.
