The debut episode of Layla El’s ‘LayTalk’ podcast saw Barbie Blank (Kelly Kelly) as a guest, and the pair discussed their tenures with WWE. 

During the podcast, Layla recalled hearing from Blank about another woman in WWE who delivered a genuine punch to her in an unprofessional moment. 

While both discussed it and made clear they knew who the puncher was, with Layla saying she saw it happen, neither mentioned the puncher by name. 

On social media, many users decided that it was Maria Kanellis-Bennett who attacked Blank, due to perceived issues between the pair. 

Now, Layla has made clear that Maria is not the woman in question, saying that she doesn’t want Maria to get hate for something she didn’t do. 

While many in the comments appreciated Layla’s clarification, some are still saying it was Maria who delivered a real punch to Blank, despite not having any evidence. 

Maria was with WWE from 2004 to 2010 and returned for a second run from 2017 to 2020. Blank was with WWE from 2006 to 2011.
