Jaida Parker running over Jacob Fatu on the September 28 edition of WWE RAW wasn’t just about adding another member to The 946. According to a new backstage update, the angle may have a much bigger purpose behind it.

While speaking during BackupHangman Radio, Self Made Pro was asked whether Parker joining The 946 was being done to set up Naomi’s long-awaited WWE return. The answer was as straightforward as it gets, revealing that’s exactly the plan.

“Is Jaida joining setting up Naomi’s return? Yes. There you have it.”

Earlier this week, Parker revealed where her loyalties stood on RAW. During the show’s closing angle, Jacob Fatu was hit by a car before Parker appeared, told him “ain’t nobody safe,” and drove away with Royce Keys, confirming she was aligned with The 946.

This comes after reports that WWE has been getting ready for Naomi’s return following her extended absence after giving birth to her first child with Jimmy Uso. While it’s not clear when she will be back, this could explain why Parker was suddenly inserted into one of the company’s biggest storylines.

If that’s the direction WWE is taking, Parker joining The 946 may have been less about her and more about creating the perfect opening for Naomi to make an impact when she finally returns.
