A brand new WWE NXT Women’s Championship number one contender has been crowned.

In the main event of the Oct. 6, 2026, episode of WWE NXT, 20 women participated in a battle royal to determine Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s title challenger at Halloween Havoc on Oct. 31, 2026.

The match saw participation from TNA Knockouts Television Champion M by Elegance, Heather by Elegance, Indi Hartwell, and TNA Knockouts Champion Xia Brookside. In addition to these TNA names, several other WWE names also participated for a shot at the title.

The final four in the match were Kiana James, Lizzy Rain, La Catalina, and Kali Armstrong. Armstrong first eliminated Catalina, followed by James, and Lizzy Rain. However, as Armstrong thought she had won, Lady Shani re-entered the match, having never been eliminated before, and eliminated Armstrong to win the bout.

Lady Shani soon unmasked herself in front of the live audience and revealed herself to be Wren Sinclair in disguise. WWE NXT GM Robert Stone had previously suspended Sinclair.
