Persephone is teasing that Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. could appear at Arena México for CMLL next Friday, October 16.
Persephone teamed with Reyna Isis against Hera and Olympia at Friday’s Viernes Espectacular. Hera and Olympia won the two-out-of-three-falls match. Following the show, CMLL published backstage remarks from Persephone, who teased bringing a “doctor” to Arena México as part of CMLL’s Month of the Amazonas.
Persephone said (translated from Spanish):
“A doctor, or better yet, a female doctor, whom you might already know. You’ve complained, you’ve cried, you’ve whined that you don’t like how I win my matches, how I defend my championships. But I’m still champion. And as the great champion I am, I have a surprise for you.
“Next Friday, since it’s the Month of the Amazonas, I’m bringing you a brave, intelligent woman… D.M.D.”
Persephone then winked at the camera.
Baker has yet to wrestle for CMLL.
Persephone’s most recent AEW match came on the September 30 Dynamite tribute to PAC, where she teamed with Baker and Mercedes Moné in a loss to Marina Shafir, Hyan and Thunder Rosa.
Persephone last defended her CMLL World Women’s Championship at the promotion’s 93rd Anniversary show on September 18. She retained the title against Mina Shirakawa, Starlight Kid and Tessa Blanchard in a four-way match via disqualification after pretending Blanchard had struck her with the championship belt.
Her most recent AEW TBS Championship defense came at All Out on September 26, when she defeated Dani Luna, who answered her open challenge.
