Google Search Interest for AEW Dynamite as a search term is up 20% globally, however it has ‘only’ grown 5% in the United States year on year, 2% in the UK year on year and 100% in Mexico year on year. It’s that Mexico number, plus gains across some other countries that has really pushed up that 20% number to where it sits now.
Google Trends scores measure relative search (interest rather than the total number of searches) and the highest point in the selected location and period is assigned a score of 100. It’s not an exact science of knowing how much hype is around a certain event/weekly show, but it’s a good indicator.

AEW jumps in Mexico
There appears to be four jumps in interest for AEW in Mexico, with April 12th-19th (fourth), June 14th-21st (first), August 23rd-30th (third) and most recently September 27th to October 4th (second). While I can’t tell you exactly what drove these jumps in interest, I can probably give you some context as to what drove them.
April 12th-19th
I initially thought it would be Mistico that really drove these spikes, but I’m not quite so sure of that after looking at the data. The first spike, so April 12-19, was around the time of AEW SpringBreak Thru. While Mistico didn’t appear on Dynamite, instead Collision that week, there were also jumps across the year for ‘donde ver aew dynamite’ (how to watch AEW Dynamite, and it was up 50% in Mexico).
However, MJF vs Darby Allin took place on that show, and interest in MJF as a term in Mexico is up 30% (which has been up since he faced Mistico back in September 2025), so I’m thinking we can attribute that rise to him/Darby getting the shock win.
June 14th-21st
The second spike (14 to 21), which is the biggest of the year thus far, was the week that Dynamite took place from the Rio Rancho Events Center in New Mexico, with that being the first time the company had ever run the building. On top of that, Dynamite that week had Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) vs Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) & Mistico.
August 23rd-30th
The third spike came August 23-30, which is of course the week that AEW went to the UK for All In (August 30) but Dynamite that week did not have any Mexican representation, so I attribute that (likely) to the hype for All In.
September 27th to October 4th
Finally the most recent spike (September 27 to October 4) comes around the All Out PPV event, and of course, the tragic death of Ben Satterley/PAC. Interest in PAC as a Search Term flew up in the last few weeks, so it would make sense that the AEW Dynamite tribute show would gain traction. Again, PAC had matches in CMLL this year (as well as back in 2024), so the current Mexican audience would’ve had knowledge of him if they watched both CMLL and AEW (which is very likely the case).

What does this mean?
While I can’t give a definitive number on the success of AEW partnering with CMLL, it is clear that the crossover talent like Mistico, Persephone et al have given All Elite Wrestling (and Dynamite as a show) a jump in brand awareness in Mexico. Sending talent over to CMLL appears to have made a difference too, as that title change involving MJF seemed to push interest, and for a far less joyful reason, PAC’s passing in the last few weeks too. Both men have appeared in CMLL and moments involving them have driven interest…again I can’t 100% say for certain they caused these jumps, but it’s heck of a coincidence otherwise.
For a bit of context, the graph below shows AEW Dynamite as a Search term in Mexico (blue line) compared to WWE RAW as a search term (red line). WWE is still of course the household name, and the recent RAW in Mexico drove a huge amount of online interest.
