Amanda Huber, the widow of Brodie Lee, denounced AI-generated tributes featuring deceased pro wrestlers after seeing a fake image of her late husband and others welcoming PAC into heaven.
“The f**king ill I feel seeing this s**t,” Huber wrote on X (Twitter) in response to someone else’s comment on the AI tribute to PAC.
Huber continued: “I hate it so much. It feels like romanticizing this s**t. Worst part is I always end up tagged like I’m gonna be like ‘🥹🥹🥹 I love it so much, thank you for your creativity and doing this 🥰’ UGH.”
The person who wrote the critical post of the AI image agreed with Huber, writing: “Like these are real ppl with REAL loved ones that can see this.”
Huber then added another post that said PAC, real name Ben Satterley, was no fan of AI.
“Especially when Ben actively HATED AI,” she wrote. “And I know for a fact my husband would have too. He believed in art. He consistently paid friends for their art.
“When he passed I had people offer to send me their art and I paid for multiple pieces because it felt like it dishonored his memory for not supporting artists.
“I’m not trying to make this about myself but losing my friend Ben has been tough enough but to see this trash on my timeline only stings more.”
The original post that contained the AI image of Brodie, Andy “The Butcher Williams, and Dusty Rhodes welcoming PAC into the Pearly Gates has since been removed.
Most of the comments in Amanda’s post supported her message, but she later shared a hateful message from an online troll that personally attacked her for her stance.
The wrestling community continues to express shock and grief after the tragic news of PAC’s death was announced on Sunday, only one day after he wrestled a well-received match against Andrade El Idolo at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.
Amanda was among those who was quick to post a heartfelt message about PAC. In a statement on X, she spoke of the bond between Brodie (real name Jonathan Huber) and the English star.
“I’m a bit of a mess right now. Ben has always been one of my favorite people in wrestling because he was always one of Jon’s,” Huber wrote on Sunday night. “I remember being pregnant with Brodie [Junior] and getting emails from Jon while he was in Japan on tour. His emails always mentioned PAC & @KingRicochet.”
She went on to say her late husband would often try to get a rise out of PAC while they were on the road.
“I remember the first time I met Ben I apologized for Jon doing that because he used to do it to me. We joked how maddening it was,” Huber wrote. “Ben & Jon’s careers always had one another in their orbit. They brought out the best in each other. He always thought the world of Ben, even though he was convinced he wasn’t completely human ‘because nobody should be able to do the kinda stuff he does with ease.’”
Huber also said that when her Brodie Lee passed, PAC “When Jon passed, Ben checked on me frequently and would always exchange funny memories with me. Every single time we were at shows together he would always stop for a hug and a check in. We would talk our dogs, his incredible wife Natalie, and my boys. We would laugh over how Brodie is not only the spitting image of Jon but a s**t starter just like his dad.
“My heart hurts so much right now and I don’t know what else to say. Hug your loved ones. Take care of those around you. Take care of yourselves.”
